I thought this movie looked like a bad fun time, and I was completely satisfied when I left the movie.  The plot was ridiculous, the acting was mediocre, and the effects were pretty bad.  But that’s what I came to expect out of the movie, and it provided me with some cheap laughs at some truly cheap effects.  Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton star as Hansel and Gretel, the very same brother and sister duo from your childhood fairy tales, who have grown into the best witch hunters in the country.  They face off against an entertaining Famke Janssen in what I can only describe as the weirdest battle sequence I’ve seen in a long time.  Overall, if you’re looking for some bad fun, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters can definitely be entertaining.
