Filmology Rating: 2.5 out of 4

White House Down stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx as John Cale and President Sawyer, respectively.  The duo are trying to survive a terrorist attack on the white house while Cale also tries to rescue his young daughter Emily, played by Joey King.  At first, I was weary I’d be rewatching Olympus Has Fallen from earlier this year, but White House Down surpassed my expectations there. White House Down is a bit too long, the exposition a bit too agonizing, and the supporting acting a bit too dull; but the action sequences were entertaining, the lead acting convincing enough, and the pacing adequate.  Overall, Tatum and Foxx are a good combo, playing both serious and humorous scenes together well.
